Parenting To Do List
Partnership Parenting is a rewarding and challenging job that takes planning and preparation. The following is a “to do” list to help you get organized.

Meet with foster care worker at least once a month; most home visits are scheduled during the week.

Coordinate school, extracurricular activities and medical appointments with birth parents; share information with them if they do not attend.

Help with homework

Participate in family visits

Pick up and drop off children at school

Include children in evening and morning routine

Coordinate day care or before / after school care

Keep DFCS up to date on progress, changes, successes and challenges

Plan for sick days

Plan, schedule and transport to doctor / dentist / therapist

Keep a set routine for the children

Attend PTA Meetings

Commit to the foster children placed in your home
