Support

Each county DFCS offers support for Partnership Parents.

The Adoptive and Foster Parent Association of Georgia is a statewide advocacy organization. The group supports the formation of local organizations through Regional Advocates.  For a listing of county associations, please follow the link to the AFPAG local associations page.

EMBRACE also provides foster parent support. Support services include:

  • Mentoring and Peer-To-Peer Support
  • Natural Helpers
  • Access to advanced training resources
  • Special events and activities for foster families
  • Communication vehicles (including newsletters and websites)

The Georgia Center for Resources and Support, a state wide project funded by the Georgia Department of Human Services, works to increase resources and supportive services for adoptive and foster families and reduce the incidence of disruption in Georgia.
